As part of DHL, you will be working with a global network of IRM colleagues and benefit from a wide range of development opportunities.
We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in EMEA at Italy, Milano.
**Job Purpose**:
- Autonomously provides claims administration and processing for standard and non-routine claims for assigned specialty area, reviews data, performs analysis and provide strategic recommendations.
- Autonomously takes important decision with direct affection on personal and collaborative targets.
He/she has a high level of solving problems attitude.
He/she has responsability of a team (4 person).
He/she has specialties and managerial skills with an experience of 5 years at least in people managing
- Serviced Business Partners: EXP/DGF/ALL with ref to N/CORE claims "Specialty Areas:
Freight service Liability; Cargo Insurance Coverage; General Liability; Property; Employer Liability; Motor claims.
**Your tasks**:
- Autonomously analyzes and processes claims in assigned specialty area by investigating and gathering information to determine the exposure of the claim.
- Communicate effectively and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, internal customers, clients, external counsel and management, team members
- Ensure that databases are maintained with the appropriate claims information / record.
- Ability to recognize and escalate claims where the standard process can negatively impact DHL.
- Prepare ad hoc reports as applicable for assigned specialist area in order to analyze data and trend
- Make disposition and take decisions based upon interpretation of guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Interpret policy documents and contractual terms as part of disposition decisions.
Make recommendations to management about modifying policy documents and contractual terms to limit losses.
Suggest new procedure or new area of development on claims handling
- Create letters and correspondence as required by assigned specialty area.
- Actively manages the litigation process.
- support finance and accounting dept with payments
- Organize & manage an efficient and effective team acting in a transparent & fairy way, providing regular feedback & providing development opportunities in order people can grow in their field of expertise by regular scheduled 1:1 meetings, feedback on the job (competency assesment), EOS meeting and follow up, coaching of new joiner
- Make sure that each team member has a clear understanding of his role and performance expectations.
- Develop a culture of quality, service excellence, flexibility and cost consciousness, according to PMPO & FC Way philosophy
- Stimulate team spirit and multi-tasking capabilities within the team.
- Responsible for complying with performance evaluation process (online / paper version).
**Your profile**:
- Divisional experience would be preferred to understand the Business Partner's activities.
- Considerable knowledge of claims based on assigned specialty area.
Cargo: knowledge of cargo claims and logistics industry; International conventions; Business Partner standard terms and conditions; etc.
Knowledge of management practices, knowledge of jurisdictional regulations, litigation regulations related to corporate claims (ie.
auto liability, general liability and / or workers' compensation), property damage)"
