Casualty Claims Team LeadMilan, ItalyAs a Claims Team Lead you will play a critical role in AXA XL Claims Casualty team in Italy. You will support and guide a team of Claims Specialists to drive files to resolution and achieve the best possible outcomes for AXA XL and its clients in accordance with established guidelines. As part of the AXA XL Italy branch, the key Claims function mission is to proactively manage claims from notification to settlement, providing high quality customer service and reaching an effective outcome, in the most cost effective and profitable way. This is a a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity regime. DISCOVER your opportunityWhat will your essential responsibilities include? management and coordination of fellow Claims Specialists to drive files to resolution, management of assigned claims, settling and implementing cases strategy under the direction of the Claims Manager and in accordance with Company guidelines and procedures, be a point of reference for technical and administrative issues, maintenance of assigned reporting and controls across the Casualty Claims direct reports, review and control claims data to support strategic analysis, prioritization, and decision making, management of direct reports workload and allocation, with provision of technical oversight, coaching and development to the team members, drive of continuous improvement and learning in the team and active support of short- and long-term initiatives contribution to the costs control and to the performance of technical results, engagement in projects outside current role and/or with expanded responsibility, collaboration with the Underwriting team and key partners in connection with claim trends, marketing and business development and retention activities, connection with distribution partners and accounts to establish Claims' value and service proposition. You will report to the Italy Third Party Claims Manager. SHARE your talentWe're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:Relevant experience in similar roles or in claims handling and/or people managementGood understanding of claims rules, processes and procedures. Ability to handle large/complex claims and to manage preventive actions. Fluent speaking/writing in Italian and English. Lead by example with enthusiasm by getting the team to embrace strategies and resolving potential conflicts. Support Team development in order to increase knowledge. Share best practice and to ensure that relevant professional standards are met. Accept responsibility of taking decisions and for his/her individual actions and be able to share responsibility as team member. Stakeholder management: cultivate relationships with brokers, court prosecutors, opposite lawyers, experts and other involved parties. Customer centricity: place the customer at the centre of all decisions and actions. Understand and anticipate customer needs and behaviours. Use empathic listening and formulate customized advices and solutions. Act as a brand ambassador. Collaborative working: excel at cooperating with multiple contributors in different locations, to achieve collective goals, in virtual or non-virtual environments, without being afraid to express disagreement.
