Location: Ravenna, Italy
Our client is a sector leading Multi-Billion Pound turnover international group.
They have landmark Civils Infrastructure & building Projects to be delivered in Italy which encompasses Building, Civils, Quay/Harbour and Cruise Terminal buildings and associated infrastructure.
They wish to appoint an experienced Construction manager for one of their construction projects for new cruise terminal building.
The project is a multistorey building and also includes some piling and foundation works.
The Role As a client-side Construction Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Projects and Commercial Lead, monitoring and supporting the delivery to ensure processes are implemented & followed and that standards are maintained. Commercially astute, you will ensure project milestones are achieved or surpassed and manage contract risk while working at a senior level internally and externally with Design Engineers, Consultants, and Contractors, reporting back to the Director on a weekly and monthly basis. You will travel across sites in the region, shaping project plans and execution strategy in line with budgets, resources, and other KPIs. Oversee the project team where required, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure project milestones are met, maintaining quality and the health and safety of all those involved in the project. Oversee and support the tendering process for capital projects. Oversee any contractor variations to ensure the project is delivered within budget and to schedule, ensuring that any delays are identified and addressed promptly. Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and communication among project stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all regional Building & Environmental regulations. Help develop and manage the project risk register and develop contingency plans to minimize any potential issues. Be the primary point of contact for the client and ensure they are kept regularly updated from concept to handover, quickly addressing any concerns. Ensure all project documentation is complete and up-to-date, including contracts, change orders, and project reports. Share best practices across the delivery teams. The Person Degree in Construction Management, MICE/MCIOB qualified, and bilingual in Italian and English. International project experience on major construction and infrastructure projects with 10+ years of experience in project management in the construction industry, either with a contractor or leading PM or EPC/EPCM consultancy. Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and schedules, with experience working with project management software like MS Project and Primavera. Highly experienced in collaboratively working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in project management software and tools. Willingness to be based at the project sites as required. In the first instance, please send your CV.
