The Clinical Dietitian, as a Medical Nutrition Specialist, is a member of the interdisciplinary health professional team responsible for the nutrition care and education of patients. The Clinical Dietitian initiates a cost-effective medical nutrition therapy care process comprised of patient assessment, the development of patient-centered, goal-focused care plans, implementation and evaluation of the plans, and ongoing monitoring. Nutrition care plans are outcome-focused, incorporate evidence-based practice, and emphasize health promotion and disease prevention. About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Completion of an approved Dietetic internship required Licensed with Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists required Eligible for membership with the Dietitians of Canada Demonstrated accountability Demonstrated judgment and decision-making skills Strong client focus and ability to build solid client/practitioner relationships Demonstrated communication and conflict resolution skills Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork skills Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation Demonstrated leadership abilities Demonstrated planning, organization, and time management skills Commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices, and organizational health Physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position Travelling to other sites may be required Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.
