Role Overview As a Cloud Engineer , you will build and maintain secure cloud services, ensuring robust security measures from design to implementation. You will work closely with development teams to align cloud infrastructure with business needs, contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements, and monitor system performance and security. Emphasizing real-world security and automation, you'll play a crucial role in safeguarding all payment and transaction processes. Your mission: Build and optimize AWS Cloud infrastructure. Design, manage, and automate scalable and secure AWS environments to support high-availability applications, utilizing services like EC2, ECS, S3, and Lambda. Collaborate for secure solutions. Work alongside development teams to ensure cloud environments are optimized for both performance and business objectives, driving continuous improvement and agility. Automate with Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Leverage Terraform to provision, maintain, and automate infrastructure deployments, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and version control across environments. Manage multi-account AWS environments. Oversee and secure multi-account AWS setups by implementing best practices for IAM roles, networking, and automation to ensure scalable, secure operations. Integrate CI/CD for continuous delivery. Automate infrastructure updates and deployments by using Terraform in conjunction with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline, enhancing the development lifecycle. Monitor system performance and security. Utilize AWS CloudWatch and OpenSearch (ELK stack) for proactive system health monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring operational uptime. Review and recommend operational improvements. Evaluate operational processes regularly, providing insights and recommendations for enhancing efficiencies and security measures. Drive security innovation. Lead initiatives to innovate security practices, incorporating emerging technologies and methodologies to strengthen cloud security frameworks. Your ideal profile: Experience. 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management, with a strong focus on AWS services and tools. AWS expertise & Networking fundamentals. You have strong familiarity with core AWS services (EC2, ECS, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPCs) and a solid understanding of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, and security groups, ensuring efficient, secure cloud environments. Terraform proficiency & Infrastructure as Code (IaC) knowledge. You bring hands-on experience with Terraform for AWS infrastructure automation, including managing state, writing and maintaining modules, and adhering to best practices for consistent and repeatable deployments. Linux & Cloud administration. You're comfortable managing Linux servers and containerized applications (Docker, ECS, EKS), ensuring smooth operation and optimization of cloud resources. CI/CD & automation experience. You have experience using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline to automate infrastructure updates and deployments, improving development cycles and operational efficiency. Monitoring & troubleshooting skills. You're familiar with tools like AWS CloudWatch, OpenSearch (ELK), or Prometheus to monitor system health, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure uptime across your cloud infrastructure. Scripting skills. You have experience with Bash or Python, automating routine tasks to streamline cloud operations and improve efficiency. Timely incident response. You're capable of promptly detecting and responding to security incidents, minimizing impact and ensuring swift resolution through effective communication and decisive action. Effective problem-solving skills. You're skilled in breaking down complex security issues, enabling efficient problem resolution and proactive management of cloud security challenges.
