**Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM Consulting is looking for an ambitious and energetic professional to support our Clients Journey to Cloud as Cloud Solution Architect.

You will join IBM Consulting Banking & Financial Markets growing Industry Sector serving as a Manager or Senior Manager depending upon your level of expertise.

Our team has grown rapidly over the past few years and continues to do so.

The team combines a wealth of deep industry knowledge with both business advisory experience, functional and technical expertise.

You will be provided with the opportunity to manage the delivery of Advisory, Consulting and System Integration engagements, as well as contribute in developing strong customer relationships and business development efforts.

You will be someone who wants to further develop your already well proven technical and architectural skills, supporting both Pre-Sales as well as Delivery teams, by working with a world class peer group and build relationships with some of the world's biggest and most complex Financial Services organizations to help them achieve their business goals.

Your unique role will drive success and determine where to compete, how to differentiate, and how to innovate business models and technology platforms by taking advantage of new digital technologies.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As a Cloud Solution Architect you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver IBM Consulting services within strategic accounts across Italy.

Your broad responsibilities will include:

- promoting IBM Consulting unique value proposition in the market

- partnering with the sales account teams to design solutions for customers, driving IBM Consulting services value proposition

- owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific consulting & system integration implementation projects

- providing technical expertise for the evaluation and selection of software products, including designing Proof-of-Technologies and Proof-of-Concepts

- providing innovative ideas to our Clients to explore exponential technologies that create business value

- leveraging on IBM global and regional ecosystem of partners, leading technology related initiatives that will help IBM Consulting strengthening its market positioning

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise

- Extensive and proven Technical / System Integration experience with architectural roles (indicative 5 to 8 years) preferably serving Banking and Financial Markets organizations

- Leads solutioning of Core Banking & Payments systems, including back-end systems for banking transactions (e. g. , posts updates to accounts and other financial records. ).

Advises clients in Core Banking & Payments systems, including deposit, loan and credit-processing capabilities, and interfaces to general ledger systems and reporting tools

- Experienced in large mission critical product implementations into large financial institutions.

Projects include mission critical, large transaction volumes, large data migrations, complex system integrations, vendor product implementation, such as Thought Machine, Finacle, Temenos, Finastra, FIS

- Working knowledge of key architectural components of Hyperscalers Cloud service offerings

- Knowledge of typical back-end legacy systems architectures

- Good knowledge of enterprise and IT integration patterns

- Knowledge of common software engineering practices (e. g. , continuous integration, continuous delivery) and architecture modelling practices (e. g. , UML, Swagger)

- Fluency in English

- Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment
