Machining Coordinator

**Main job responsibilities**:

- Proceeds to read the technical drawing of the parts to be machined;

- Communicates any non-conformities found on the drawing to be brought to the attention of the Technical Department and suggests any design changes to reduce machining times;

- Carries out CNC programming activities according to the machining programme or priorities communicated by the Department Coordinator;

- Checks and shares the machining cycle in detail with the Mechanical Machining Technologist, with specific reference to the sequence of the phases of positioning on the machine, machining and dimensional control of the part to be machined;

- Identifies and chooses the tools to be used according to the machining operations, defines the appropriate machining parameters and informs the Department Coordinator of any standard and non-standard tools to be supplied;

- Performs process control on both the machine and the machined parts, interfacing with the operators for any corrections, modifications or improvements to the program;

- Is responsible for machining the part for which he/she has executed the program, with the aim of complying with productivity (assigned cycle times) and quality parameters;

- Optimises CNC programs according to the available tools and the characteristics of the CNC machines available;

- Supports, if necessary, the operators in the testing phase of the program drawn up.

**Level of experience**:

- Good knowledge and use of CAM software (preferably Mastercam)

- Good knowledge and use of NC code simulation software (preferably VERICUT)

- Experience in defining and optimising work cycles

**Education

Qualification or graduation in technical field

**Computer knowledges

Good knowledge of Office package

**Language skills

Good knowledge of English

- Ability to work in a team

- Resilience and resistance to stress
