DESCRIPTION
Edizioni Condé Nast S. p. A. is looking for a Commerce Writer, who will be assigned to the Italian Consumer Team and be responsible for the creation of affiliate contents for Vanity Fair digital platforms.
He/she will autonomously write articles with shopping recommendations, reviews, product galleries and gift guides using advanced SEO optimization tactics.
He/she will also be responsible for distributing commerce content across all digital platforms, including web, newsletter and social, working closely with Vanity Fair's editorial team.
The interest in creating engaging content that drives key commerce revenues is a must, as well as experience in writing about products in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle categories.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with Vanity Fair's editorial team to ensure content fits the brand's voice & style and meets the highest editorial standard;- Write new and update existing articles of commerce content, ensuring copy is clean, brand guidelines are met, and SEO and affiliate best practices are implemented;- Work on all major sale events like shopping holidays, Amazon Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, After-Christmas;- Distribute and optimize commerce content across social, newsletter, web and identifying new shopping content opportunities on various platform.
For this role, an understanding of and enthusiasm for style and beauty is key, along with the ability and flexibility to write with authority on a variety of topics.
SENIORITY- 3-5 years of experience creating lifestyle, beauty and fashion content at a major publication, in a digital-first company and a fast-paced and international environment
SKILLS
Main skills:
- Proven ability to write and edit compelling commerce content- Proven expertise and understanding of SEO best practices- Comfortable in learning and working within a CMS system- Analytical approach and ability to analyze performance across different verticals, product categories, retailers, and content types to optimize for editorial strategy and revenue generation- Passionate with online shopping and for finding the best sales and newest up-and-coming products, with a genuine interest in Vanity Fair's product categories, staying on top of the latest beauty and style trends- Knowledge and familiarity with Photoshop or similar is a plus
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional project management, time management and organizational skills—must be able to consistently plan ahead while maintaining daily production of content- Deep knowledge of the digital editorial environment- Problem solving, flexibility and proactivity to find solutions before issues- Team player and excellent communication skills, as the role is interdepartmental and includes stakeholders in different countries across the company- A professional level of English is required since the work environment is international
