Together, we produce and market high quality materials (Formica, FENIX, Arpa, Trespa) that are beautiful and affordable. Over the years, discipline & rigor have made us strong, sustainable, safe and prosperous. In the last five years, the group has expanded rapidly (4 times topline growth), both through acquisitions and organically. From a European player it has become the global market leader. Post-acquisition synergies currently deliver a significant share of profit. And still, we are nowhere near our potential. That is why we are stepping up and hiring an additional team member in the Commercial Development Team in MUSA, our centre of excellence for marketing, communication and commercial development. About the role The Commercial Development Manager will be part of the commercial centre of excellence of the group, Musa, based in Milano. They will be responsible for driving one or multiple workstreams as well as coaching analysts in the process. The role is strategical as well as entrepreneurial. It requires a commercial appetite combined with logical thinking, strong analytical skills and cultural sensitivity as well as a cooperative spirit. Here's an example of what you might be working on: Assessing the full potential of entering a new market where we are not present today. Defining a clear plan (approach, timing, resources) and work with the company's CEO to get the plan approved and signed off. Developing a fact-based view of the value chain structure and profit pools of a country to re-define the most profitable route-to-market. Supporting the launch of new products across countries by developing a single unified approach that takes into consideration the specificity of each market while remaining consistent with the overall ambition of the company. Understanding the root cause of market performance, through the lenses of pricing, product mix, client type mix, channels, changes in competitive landscape. The objective is always more than just getting an answer to a question. It is about creating pragmatic solutions while developing the capabilities of the people you will be working with. About you Description of our ideal candidate: Strong analytical background from experience in consulting, banking or similar. Experience in corporate settings, working closely with products and markets. Familiar with commercial topics, especially revenue drivers and value chain drivers based on first-hand experience. Black belt in prioritizing efforts towards a pragmatic solution: creating hypothesis, using a structured approach to move from abstract ideas to verified opportunities and translating those into actionable plans. Comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders, defining roadmaps and running complex meetings. Able to quickly adopt and implement new ways of working, and act as a role model for others in the company. Fluency in English required. Knowledge of Italian nice to have.
