Commercial Director
Overview
You will oversee, monitor and review legal activities and deliverables, develop contractual drafts and documentation and finalize agreements, in line with organisational policies, legal rights, obligations and privileges and providing input ensuring compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements.
**Accountabilities**:
- Coordinating and conducting research and analysis, which may include developing models and forecasts, analysing the economics of commercial arrangements and partnerships, evaluating financial performance, systems and procedures and recommending solutions.
- Lead decision making to improve business development plans, procedures and operations.
- Coordinate, maintain and update Development business development systems, procedures, policies and reports to create and implement Development strategy.
- Build and maintain external relationships, as well as leverage existing business networks, to identify and evaluate new business opportunities to achieve profit targets and organisational objectives
**Skills, knowledge & experience**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Marketing and/or Management, combined with extensive experience across multiple roles.
- Substantial experience in a business development role with acquisitions and ground-up development, assessing new opportunities, executing transactions and undertaking complex and high volume business processes and expert knowledge of Construction, Property Development, Investment Management and/or Retirement Living industries and relevant legislations.
- Problem solving, technical and analytical skills, which may include knowledge of valuation, tax, accounting and legal fundamentals, business operations, organisational strategy and risks to support the implementation of organisational policies, procedures and programs and Development business development operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional networks and facilitate decision making.
- Adept at influencing effective outcomes and building relationships with key stakeholders.
