As we expand our presence in Spain, we are seeking a dynamic Commercial IT Director to play a key role in driving business growth, building new client relationships, and expanding our D365 practice.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the IT industry, particularly in the Microsoft ecosystem.
Role Overview As the Commercial IT Director – D365, you will be responsible for leading the commercial strategy for our Dynamics 365 business in Spain.
You will leverage your extensive network and sales experience to generate new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and contribute to the growth and development of our practice.
Your expertise in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, coupled with your leadership skills, will be key to positioning us as a trusted partner to new and existing clients.
This is a remote role with the expectation of occasional travel to customer sites and internal meetings.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Client Acquisition: Identify and target new business opportunities within Spain and the broader Iberian region.
Leverage your extensive network and industry contacts to bring in new clients and drive D365 sales.
Develop and execute a commercial strategy to build a strong pipeline of opportunities and grow the practice.
Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and C-level executives at client organizations.
Sales & Revenue Growth: Own the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring targets and revenue goals are met.
Develop and deliver compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
Collaborate with the pre-sales and technical teams to align solutions with client requirements.
Market Positioning & Strategy: Develop a deep understanding of the D365 market landscape, competitor offerings, and industry trends.
Provide input into the development of the company's overall go-to-market strategy and messaging.
Champion our brand and offerings in the Spanish market, positioning the company as a leader in D365 solutions.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor on all things related to D365.
Oversee the delivery of services to ensure clients' needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client escalations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Leadership & Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, delivery, and support teams, to ensure successful client outcomes.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
Skills & Experience Proven Experience: 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles within the IT / technology industry.
Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other ERP / CRM solutions is a strong advantage.
Strong Network: A well-established network of senior decision-makers in the Spanish market and across relevant industries (finance, manufacturing, retail, etc. ).
Ability to leverage these relationships to open doors and generate new business.
Track Record of Success: Demonstrable success in driving new business, hitting revenue targets, and growing a technology practice or services business.
Sales Expertise: Experience managing the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation to closing, including developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring post-sale satisfaction.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Dynamics 365 offerings, ERP, CRM, Cloud, and IT transformation solutions.
Strong understanding of the Spanish business landscape and IT market trends.
Fluent in Spanish and English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
