**What does the job of Commercial Managing Director at Rijk Zwaan Italia look like?

**:

Italy has one of the biggest vegetable seed markets in Europe, where Rijk Zwaan is active with dedicated research programs in order to develop future varieties and a healthy business growth.

Our subsidiary Rijk Zwaan Italia focuses mainly on product development, marketing and sales.

In Italy we are a growing company, very active in the market and led by a board of three Managing Directors who are jointly responsible for the entire operation and the 50 people working in Italy.

Each Managing Director has his or her own attention fields.

As Commercial Managing Director you are focusing on Sales and Marketing.

One of your colleague Managing Directors focusses on R&D Operations (mainly product development) and the third Managing Director on Finance, IT and Human Resources.

The three of you are jointly responsible for leading the whole company, Rijk Zwaan Italia.

The Italian directors report to the Rijk Zwaan board based in The Netherlands. -

**Your Contribution**:

As Managing Director we expect you to have experience in the agricultural sector and a broad interest in all aspects of managing a company including fostering the unique Rijk Zwaan company culture, managing financial risks and legal compliance.

You have strong people management skills and you can build bridges between people, for this a fluency in the Italian language is necessary.

Next to this, you are also seeking to collaborate with the other two Managing Directors.

We are looking for an inspirational leader and organizer with an international outlook, someone who is both people

- and result-oriented.

Finally, we are looking for these aspects on your resume. - An academic degree preferably in the agricultural area

- More than 5 to 10 years managerial experience in an international environment

- Good understanding of the agricultural industry and preferably also of horticulture

- Strategic insights for commercial and company development

- A people-oriented management style and high team work abilities

- Your daily work place is in Bologna and regularly travelling as well in Italy as in Europe is part of the job.
