Commodity Manager Electronics
For our Multinational client we are looking for:
**Commodity Manager Electronics
The Commodity Manager will report to the Head of Purchasing - Europe and will Manage and optimize the assigned sourcing category according to the Quality, Reliability and Total Supply Chain Cost performance targets defined by the CPO and VP of Supply Chain.
You will be the primary contact for all sourcing matters for the entire Group organization.
**Responsibilities**:
**Managerial
- Co-ordination and management of the Strategic Buyers.
- Appoint and dismiss of SBs in alignment with HPE
- Leads / participates in inter-disciplinary workshops/projects to achieve Group results as assigned
**Demand
- Recognize and gather business/stakeholder needs
- Cooperate with/support technical offices (incl.
Group R&D) in the definition and introduction of new products
**Strategic
- Performs sourcing marketing to develop basis for sourcing strategies
- Defines sourcing strategies and potentials (e. g.
standardization, bundling, sourcing, etc.
)
- Implement defined strategies in coordination with strategic buyer
- Monitor/ controls the implementation of sourcing strategies / reports to defined communication lines
- Performs regular benchmarks of the assigned categories)
**Supply base
- Monitor and screens the global supply market, analyzing technology, price trends and relevant raw materials development.
- Defines and manages contracts with selected supply base
**Performance management
- Monitor, evaluate and develop supplier performance (reliability, quality and cost)
- Identifies cost reduction opportunities together with supply base
- Maintains sourcing information and reporting systems
- Continuously optimizes the sourcing processes and systems
**Skills
- Broad sourcing experience in multinational companies (min 8/15 years)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Deep know-how of sourcing methodologies and tools
- Thoroughness and financial awareness in evaluating costs, benefits and impacts associated with sourcing strategies
- Able to recognize opportunities and risks
- Strong negotiation skills, sourcing contracts
- Engineering background
- English very good
**Perfomance indicators
- Material cost development in managed sourcing category
- Adherence of supply base to Group performance targets
- Collaboration and activity level with internal stakeholders
**Location: Milan Italy
