Communication Assistant - Scientific Journal

We are looking for a Communication Assistant to join the EFSA Digital Publishing team (in the Communication Unit), with particular support to the Scientific Journal function.

Retribuzione oraria: 11 - 13€ esperienza 1 anno Excellent knowledge of English (at least C1 level); At least 1 year of relevant working experience in communication departments within international organisations; Experience in and knowledge of communication principles, internal communication, editorial standards; Experience with scientific publishing would be an asset; English grammar and spelling; Proficiency in IT tools (Office software); Behavioural competencies: working with others, analysis and problem solving, priority setting and planning.
Assignment: initial contract of 3 months, with possibility of extension.
Expected duration of assignment 12 months.
Salary: approx.
€2233 per month before taxes.
Work modalities: office work is required on at least 2 days per week.
Remote work is possible within 2 hours from Parma, Italy for the remaining days.

Support the daily publishing workflow of scientific publications, ensuring the seamless execution of the scientific publishing process; Contribute to small-scale projects, which may include coordination and negotiation with several internal and external stakeholders; Support the organisation of meetings of the Editorial Advisory Board, drafting agendas, taking minutes and following up on action points; Provide administrative support, such as handling invoices, monitoring budgets, and maintaining accurate records; Monitor communication channels to ensure clear, timely, and effective information exchange.
