Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Public Policy or related discipline

- 5+ years working in Stakeholder engagement, Public Policy, External Affairs, Social Responsibility, Communications or related domains

- Experience working with constituent groups including non-profit organizations and employee volunteering programmes.

- Relationship and reputational management experience as well as Flexible in terms of availability for community engagement outside of normal hours and ability to travel

- Excellent project management skills and writing and verbal communications skills in English and Italian

- Be the main point of contact for the Community Engagement program for AWS's infrastructure business in Milan.

- Provide vision and strategy for the community engagement initiatives across the region.

Manage the development of partnerships with local stakeholders and the planning and delivery of community programs and initiatives with attention to detail and a high bar for quality.

- Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, human resources, legal, public policy, and public relations to deliver results.

Interact effectively and provide strategic counsel at all levels of the organization.

- Manage community events and inspire AWS employees to volunteer and engage through these events.

- Think and communicate clearly including formulating clear points of view on complicated issues and creating concise and well-written narratives to express ideas.

- Identify opportunities and develop creative, effective approaches to difficult challenges.

Be prepared to roll up sleeves and get practical work done when required.

- Develop tactics within the region to deliver locally.

- Relevant Advanced degree

- Experience working at high level and collaboratively in a highly-matrixed environment, alongside teams including Legal, PR, and business teams

- Strong judgment and decision-making skills

- Agility and confidence in evolving situations and ability to swiftly transition from topic to topic

- Knowledge of other European languages a bonus
