Depending on role and business needs, colleagues will either work onsite, in a hybrid model (combination of in-office and virtual days) or fully virtually.
Amex is interested in reinforcing the Compliance Function of its Italy based legal entities (herein referred to as "AXP ITALY"), adding a Compliance Analyst reporting to the Head of the Regulatory Advisory Team.
The Regulatory Advisory Team is one of the core teams of the Market Compliance Function. Primary responsibilities include:
- Supporting the assessment and the implementation of law and regulation requirements, internal programs and policies, standards and procedures, mainly for areas of law such as Payment Services, Consumer Protection, Transparency, Consumer Credit and Usury Prevention, Data Privacy, Insurance as well as all other Laws/Regulations applicable to AXP ITALY;
- Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of relevant Legal/Regulatory areas;
- Supporting advisory activities to the business on compliance-related matters and on the regulatory implications of new and existing products, business initiative, campaigns, services and processes;
- Supporting the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in all activities related to Data Privacy, including the assessment of potential data breach events and related reporting activities;
- Supporting the development and the provision of customized Compliance training as well as the definition of communication plans to meet the needs of AXP ITALY;
- Supporting the management of the info flows in the areas of competence towards the Market Compliance Officer and the Senior Management.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance field, preferably in banks and financial institutions;
- University degree (Law/Economy degree);
- Experience advising on Payment Services, Transparency Regulations, Consumer Protection and Fairness, Consumer Credit and Usury Prevention, Data Privacy, Insurance;
- System of controls and risk assessment knowledge is a nice to have;
- Excellent interpersonal skills at local & international levels;
- Excellent organizational and planning skills;
- Intellectually strong with sound judgment;
- Self-motivated and positive thinker, creative and team-player;
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
- Strong communication skills;
- Personal excellence;
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple tasks;
- Excellent knowledge of Italian and English language, spoken and written
