About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to be a Compliance Officer for Swiss Re's Corporate Solutions (commercial lines) Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) business.

This role is part of a team of Compliance Officers servicing this business in the region and while there may be a specific focus on a country, the role will work closely with both business and Compliance Officers to manage compliance across the region.

It will focus on supervising and assessing impact of regulatory requirements relating to Compliance Risks and supporting the business with maintaining compliance.

You will support and provide reporting to Corporate Solutions management.

In addition, you will:

- Monitor, assess and support implementation of regulatory developments relating to Compliance Risks.

- Support the development and execution of the Swiss Re Compliance Programme and associated compliance risk frameworks for existing, new and changes to regulations including policies, standards, processes, training and communication.

- Establish and manage relationships with business stakeholders and provide enabling guidance to the business with respect to Compliance requirements and implementation of Compliance Risk Frameworks, with a particular focus on EMEA requirements.

- Perform Compliance Risk Assessments.

- Deliver training and communications on relevant Compliance Risks to employees, including management.

- Provide assurance to management regarding the business' implementation of Compliance Risk Frameworks through oversight of business activities and support of assurance activities.

- Support/provide input to regular and relevant reporting to Senior Management and local Board of Directors.

- Serve as point of contact for regulators, in coordination with Governmental Affairs and Legal as the need arises.

Includes actively participating during regulatory inspections and exams, reviewing and responding to inquiries, and coordinating production of data and file requests.

- Coordinate with the global Compliance department to share knowledge, align standard processes and perform operations.

- Support Global Compliance initiatives by providing input and review on group-wide projects.

**About the Team

This is an exciting opportunity to be a crucial member of the EMEA Compliance team, but part of a global team.

You will be a member of the CorSo EMEA Compliance team, reporting into the Head of Compliance CorSo.

The team is business client facing with an international footprint and diversity of team members.

We provide end-to-end mentorship on key Compliance Risks including Anti-Money Laundering, International Trade Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Data Protection, Conduct Risk, and others relating to Swiss Re's Corporate Solutions business.

**About You

- University degree or equivalent qualification

- Minimum 5 years' experience in compliance, risk or governance related roles with experience in the EMEA market

- Experience in regulatory interactions a plus

- Proven understanding of compliance risks, particularly anti-money laundering, international trade controls, conduct and data protection

- Ability to take ownership and prioritise and work in a highly dynamic and changing matrix environment

- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

- Proficient in English; French, German or Italian a plus
