Computer Architect - Italy This is a unique opportunity to join a global start-up as they create the next-generation AI platform.

As a Computer Architect, you will join an extremely well-funded organization with close to 200 Engineers!

I am seeking a Computer Architect to design and develop the next generation of AI computing systems.

In this critical role, you will work closely with hardware, software, and product teams to define architectural requirements, optimize system performance, and ensure scalability for their AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Architecture Design: Define and develop computing architectures for AI systems, including processor, memory, and interconnect subsystems.

Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize computational workloads, ensuring low power consumption, high efficiency, and maximum performance for AI applications.

Collaborate on the co-design of AI accelerators and other key computing components to achieve seamless integration and operational excellence.

System Modelling: Develop simulation and modelling tools to validate architectural designs and predict system performance under various workloads.

Qualifications: Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in computing architecture or system design, preferably within AI, semiconductor, or computing domains.

Strong expertise in processor design, memory hierarchies, and interconnect technologies.

Proficiency in architectural modelling, simulation tools, and performance analysis frameworks.

Experience in designing AI accelerators, including neural processing units (NPUs) or graphics processing units (GPUs).

Proficient in programming languages such as C or Python.

Familiarity with high-performance computing (HPC) techniques and standards.

Experience with hardware description languages (HDLs) such as Verilog or VHDL.

To be considered for this role you must already live in Italy or be able to relocate to Italy.

You will not be considered in any other location, although remote work is available from within Italy.
