**SYSTEM CONFIGURATION MANAGER

**PROFILE**:
- You graduated with a bachelor or master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or in University, and you have proven experience in the field of configuration management
- You have already worked in an integrated team within large scopes, combining specific developments and off-the-shelf solutions; furthermore, you particularly appreciate collaborative work and enjoy stimulating exchanges
- You have outstanding problem-solving skills and a passion to solve difficult issues
- You are looking for challenge through unforeseen events and business emergencies
- You are recognized for your pragmatism, commitment and rigor
**COMPETENCIES**:
- You master the standard Thales configuration management processes and tools, particularly those linked with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- You are able to adapt and assess the Configuration Management System, as well as the contractual and commercial requirements, within your scope
- You are able to thrive forward in changing environments
- You know how to explain / detail your needs and initiatives
**LIFE AS A THALES ALENIA SPACE SYSTEM CONFIGURATION MANAGER
As a System Configuration Manager within Thales, you will:
- Work in collaboration with all the stakeholders, in particular the Project Managers (PM), the Product or System SEMs, the Work Package Managers (WPM) or the other CMs in the case of Delegated Lots
- Coordinate all the Configuration Management activities within your projects
- Consider the following elements for the set of projects you have to take in charge:
- The adaptation of the Configuration Management system, in compliance with the contractual requirements
- The execution of the Configuration Management system within the project, in compliance with the requirements of the internal repository of your entity
- Consistency and completeness of the project information in the configuration management system of your entity
- Accomplish more specifically the following tasks:
- Organize the CM activities and interface with the Project Managers on the planning and management aspects
- Propose adjustments to the Configuration Management process for the project
- Ensure the project is compliant with the repository and customer requirements before integrating them into a Configuration Management Plan
- Deploy the Configuration Management plan and ensure the follow-up, interacting with subcontractors and suppliers so that:
- The Configuration Management requirements are properly implemented (development of the SOW, etc. )
- The Configuration Management requirements are respected
- Specify the Configuration Management requirements to subcontractors and suppliers through statements of work and ensure compliance
- Participate in the selection of configuration items
- Organize, lead and control the Configuration Control Boards (both internal and external) as well as the pre and post CCB activities
- Establish the configuration repositories (FBL, ABL, PBL)
- Ensure the recording and the restitution of the configuration states
- Participate in end of phase reviews (SFR, PDR, CDR. . . )
- Perform or participate in FCA and PCA configuration audits
- Report to the Project Manager (PM) or Batch Manager (WPM) depending on the organization
- Participate in the analysis of contractual requirements and the preparation of Configuration Management quotations during the bid phase
- Manage and produce all the outputs of Configuration Management requested by the projects.
- Coordinate the actions of the Configuration Administrators as necessary
As a Configuration Administration coordinator within the project, you will assure:
- Work in strong cooperation with the Configuration Administrator
- Establish a good collaboration with all the stakeholders, in particular the Project Managers (PM), the Product or System SEMs, the Work Package Managers (WPM)
- registration and release of configuration data
- Verify the integrity of technical data, attributes and validity throughout the life cycle based on specific businesses
- verification of the completeness of metadata documents (whether internally and externally)
- Ensure the provision of technical data to the relevant functions
- Record of configuration baselines and provide status on identified gaps or omissions
- managing the baseline and the changes into the tool as needed
- Support the Configuration Manage
