HHLA PLT Italy is a multipurpose maritime terminal started in 2021, located in the middle of the fast-growing North Adriatic market. Here, the Expansion Project Team, carried out by the company Logistica Giuliana, is planning and executing a game changer phased project aiming to integrate the current facility into a fully automated state-of-the-art container terminal, making use of the most advanced technologies and expertise.
In this context, the Construction Contract Specialist manages drafting construction contracts, task orders, work requests or any other type of document that would be necessary in order to acquire goods/services from a contractor.
What you can expectDraft, review, negotiate and amend contracts for construction assignments (but not only) as Client's RepresentativeContract monitor during works execution with reference to quantity surveying, process and permitting transparencyInterface with Direzione Lavori, Main Contractor and Public Authorities (if required) toe contract requirementsManage claims and discussions with Main Contractor and Direzione LavoriMake sure all the technical aspects in the contract are understood and applied during worksManage contract development through all lifecycle stages ensuring that insurance, bonding, and legal requirements are met and internal processes and records are maintainedComply with all the safety and security rules and regulations lead by exampleSupport the department and business unit where requiredFollow the corporate authority matrix, contract policies compliance guidelinesActively report improvement opportunities to direct report What you bring to the tableThe Construction Contract Specialist is a detail-oriented and process-minded individual able to include small details in each contract. The person would have good communication skills to work and manage his/her relationship with a variety of vendors throughout the years.
Good English (Italian is a plus)Excellent understanding of the technical aspects of a construction project (i. e. , design stages, works execution, test and commissioning)Previous experience with Direzione Lavori and/or as Client's Representative (ideally in infrastructures or environmental projects) with focus in contractManagement In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents and legal specificationsOutstanding negotiation and interpersonal skillsExcellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networksExperience of successfully engaging and communicating with internal and external stakeholdersExperience of working in a multi-culture, international environmentBachelor's or Master's degree in project management, engineering, or law. The ideal candidate would have a valid EU working permit and would be willing to work in Trieste.
