On behalf of our client, a global player in construction and engineering, we are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead construction operations on a high-profile project. This role offers the opportunity to drive safety, quality, and operational excellence while managing a multidisciplinary team in a collaborative and dynamic environment. Your Impact: As the Construction Manager, you will report directly to the Project Director or Project Manager and take full authority over construction operations at the job site. Acting as the primary interface for all contractors and vendors, you will focus on ensuring the successful delivery of the project by fostering a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will lead initiatives to identify and resolve challenges, drive team collaboration, and support key aspects of project execution, including logistics, planning, and execution strategies. Key Responsibilities: Champion workplace health and safety initiatives in collaboration with the HSE Manager, ensuring alignment with ethical and organizational standards. Collaborate with the Quality Department to develop and verify procedures specific to construction management. Participate actively in Operational Project Reviews (OPRs) and other project review sessions. Oversee pre-construction planning activities, ensuring site logistics and construction execution plans align with project scope and strategy. Conduct constructability reviews to identify and address potential conflicts or challenges early in the project. Support project schedulers in developing detailed construction timelines and schedules. Lead and manage on-site personnel in alignment with HR and project requirements. Monitor and analyse site performance, addressing technical or managerial deficiencies with preventive or corrective actions. Provide direction and guidance to contractors and field services personnel, ensuring the timely and quality execution of construction activities. Collaborate with the Cost Engineer to update and manage project cost reports. Administer changes to the contract scope, ensuring proper documentation and resolution of requests for information. Oversee contractor compliance with project technical and "as-built" requirements. Coordinate mechanical completion punch list activities and support commissioning efforts. Lead site coordination meetings, safety meetings, and field inspection activities to ensure alignment across all stakeholders. Required Skills and Experience: 10+ years of experience as a field Construction Manager (experience in pharmaceutical or electronics projects preferred). Strong knowledge across all project disciplines, including safety management and compliance. Safety Management or Supervisor certification is an advantage. Proven ability to evaluate project criticality and determine effective construction strategies. Expertise in conducting constructability reviews and managing complex meetings with multiple stakeholders. Proficiency in computer tools, including Office Suite, 3 D navigation software (e. g. , Navisworks), and scheduling software. Strong organizational, communication, and listening skills. Experience in systems mechanical completion, testing, and commissioning. Fluency in Italian and English is required.
