Construction Manager – Pharmaceutical Sector Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to oversee construction projects in the pharmaceutical sector. Reporting to the Project Director or Project Manager, the Construction Manager will have full responsibility for on-site operations, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role serves as the primary interface with contractors and vendors, driving efficiency, safety, and quality. The Construction Manager will work closely with the HSE and Quality Managers, defining strategies, addressing critical areas, and implementing improvement plans to maintain high safety, quality, and operational standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with technical drawings, GMP standards, and safety regulations. Manage contractors, subcontractors, and site teams for efficient workflow. Identify critical areas and implement improvement strategies for safety, quality, and control. Collaborate with HSE and Quality Managers to enhance site operations. Report on project progress, budget, and compliance. Foster team collaboration between on-site personnel and office teams. Requirements: Engineering degree (civil, mechanical or chemical), or any relevant qualification. Minimum of 5 years construction management experience in chemical plant construction projects preferably in pharmaceuticals. Excellent communication skills, able to communicate at all levels both internally and externally (suppliers and customers). Experience of working autonomously, as the position requires leadership, decision making and problem solving. Demonstrable experience of construction cost, schedule, risk, technical and quality management, and quality control. Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and construction best practices. Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar tools. Availability for travel and on-site presence. Fluency in English is a must.
