**Missions and Responsibilities
As part of the South West Europe LI Industrial Direction team, the** Capital Projects Team** is in charge of the development and execution of major investments aiming to extend, enhance, renovate the industrial facilities owned and operated by the Group in the SWE cluster countries, pertaining to the Large Industries Business Line.
As a **Construction Manager** within the Capital Projects Team, you will be responsible for managing the works to be executed at construction sites (grass root site, AL production sites, customers' premises, prefabrication workshops or yards) or to manage other supervisors performing this activity.
In this role, you will:
- organize the works, the site and their management since the very early phases
- follow the plants construction, during all phases, supervising the civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumental works to be performed up to the plant start-up, complying with safety rules and regulations and ensuring the quality of the construction and its compliance with the rules and regulation in force.
- assess the need in resources for site management/supervision, and coordinate their activity.
Instruct, train, control such resources, both if internal and if external.
- select supervisors if external.
- when the site organisation requires, take the role of Site Manager and/or Site Headquarter Director and represent the Company.
- for construction sites where you don't directly supervise the works: manage and supervise the resources dedicated to this task and hold responsibility of their activity.
- in case of bids or quotations: take part to the definition of the construction strategy and provide technical and budgeting/scheduling support.
- for projects having a prevailing construction part you may be called to take the role of Project Manager and/or Project Engineer.
**Competencies and Profile
- Norms and regulations about site construction works and safety (EU area)
- Technical Competences about site construction works (civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumental)
- construction sites management procedures: safety coordination, scheduling, progress monitoring, punch lists management, . . .
- Technical competences in engineering
- Air Liquide rules and norms knowledge
- Fluency in English + at least one among Italian, French, Spanish or Portuguese languages
Geographical location : Milan or Bagneux with availability to frequent and/or long duration travelling
