Construction Manager - Rom
Your role
As a Digital Realty Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects related to data centre facilities.
You will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects within budget and on schedule while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
The Digital Realty Construction Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and oversight of the construction of our facilities which range from full builds to fit-outs, upgrades, landing stations or infrastructure.
This includes managing budgets, schedules, and resources, as well as ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
In addition, this role will assist with improving the conception, definition and execution of our construction projects and be based on site full-time while maintaining best practices and clear roles & responsibilities for any consultant support.
The primary purpose of the role will ensure consistent, efficient, predictable, timely and high-quality execution of our construction projects.

- Manage the cost change process and negotiate best pricing in partnership with cross-functional/matrixed team members in cost and schedule.
- Manage the schedule and associated risks to ensure reliable and predictable turnover dates.
Reporting upward on opportunities, risks, and mitigations to ensure predictable delivery of capacity.
- Accountable for the development of cost savings solutions and early identification of project savings/underruns to ensure target values are maintained which provides predictable delivery of capacity to the business.
- Lead and mentor the construction team by providing guidance and support.
- Promote and model an attitude of continuous improvement, partnership, and teamwork in behaviors and communications
**What you'll need
- 10+ years' experience working in construction project management, preferably in data centres
- Strong background in Project Management methodologies
- Experience in managing a construction project.
- Experience with the design and deployment of technical electrical and mechanical systems (electrical or mechanical background).
- Experience in Continuous Process Improvement and defining and managing associated metrics and KPIs.
- Experience of working in a European multi-cultural environment
- Fluent in Italian and English
