ERM is looking for an Environmental Consultant focused on Permitting and Sustainability willing to join our Italian branch in Milan.

The role is covering for a project managing environmental and environmental consulting assignments ranging from Business Development/Permitting support and advisory work, through projects focused on the development, implementation and monitoring of client environmental and sustainability performance and operations.

Key areas of involvement will be in the Low Carbon Economy Transition and de-carbonization of industrial assets.

The key roles and responsibilities include:

- Active interaction with the client aimed at both project deliveries and commercial opportunities identification and development- Develop Prefeasibility and Environmental & Social Impact Assessment studies;- Manage environmental critical aspects to ensure compliance with all applicable regulation;- Define, coordinate and implement Environmental monitoring plan;- Identify and develop new project opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals and cost estimates- Ability and flexibility to work across a range of services and sectors including: Energy (Renewables, Power, Oil&Gas), Infrastructure, Chemical and Manufacturing;- Provide compliance assurance of technical studies with applicable International Standards (IFC, IPIECA, EBRD, etc.

), legal institutional requirements. - Actively interact with subcontractor.

What you will need to succeed- A master degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences or other relevant disciplines. - 1-3 years of experiences as Environmental Consultant/Project Manager in a Consultancy Firm- Proficiency in English, written and spoken.

Working knowledge of French will be considered a plus- Familiarity with EHS National Environmental regulation and International Standard (IFC, EBRD, etc.

)- Experience in the Energy Sector (preferably, but not limited to)- Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational capabilities- Ability to write well structured, concise and well-reasoned reports, proposals and documents- GIS skills, Air Modelling and Noise Modelling will be considered a plus- Experience with emerging energy systems (hydrogen, offshore wind, battery storage, floating solar) will be considered a plus.
