We focus on premium brand stories related to our products and our customers; we manage the corporate reputation and brand equity; and we engage, inspire and motivate our communities.
The Content & Communications Specialist will create and drive compelling narratives, campaigns, and announcements. They will write statements and media alerts, pitch high-impact stories in lifestyle media, key national newspapers, broadcast, and leading travel and lifestyle platforms. The role requires a communications rock star with proven media pitching skills and media outreach experience, and a strong record of working with high-profile influencers.
You will work closely with sales, charging, and service teams on the specific objectives of company initiatives, including but not limited to, product launches, location openings and product updates. You must be solution oriented, flexible, self-driving and have the ability to change course quickly, think big and start small, and thrive in a high-stress environment.
What You'll Do
- Understand and support the launch process, sales methodologies, and intended goal for all communications related initiatives.
- Pitch proactive stories and reviews to varied media and influencers, including but not limited lifestyle, automotive and tech.
- Maintain and build relationships with media to support positive coverage.
- Handle media inquiries, product placement opportunities and develop press and influencer relations, manage and hand over cars for test drives/loans to press.
- Handle coverage reports and updates, analyzing quality and quantity of coverage achieved per quarter
- Manage and prepare press and stakeholder events, as well as customer events with a media component.
- Develop, edit and translate written materials, including product messaging, customer stories, communications plans and FAQs, blog posts, and other collateral.
- Use personal network to create new business opportunities.
- Identify misinformation and inaccuracies in coverage and handle in appropriate manner
- Offer council to sales, service with regards to communications risks and issues.
- Plan and execute content creation opportunities for appropriate channels
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree (Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism) or equivalent professional experience
- Fluent English and local language is required for this position, other language skills are considered a benefit
- Extensive experience years in product and/or corporate communications, preferably for a major technology, lifestyle or automotive company or acquired on agency side
- Experience with and able to develop strong relationships with regional media
- Demonstrate initiative in managing a wide range of projects with a high degree of independence
- Demonstrate proficiency in writing skills to craft external correspondence, communications plans, press materials, etc.
- Demonstrate practical and advanced understanding of visual communications, social media and the digital landscape and how to incorporate these channels into communication programs
- Ability to work in a dynamic and very fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail on all projects
- Ability to travel (30%)
- Clean, valid driving license
