THE ROLE Our Maka team is expanding, and we are looking for a Content & Localization Project Manager in our Milan office.

In this role, you will be an important member of our Language Services Team, and you will participate in various steps of language management for diverse business projects, gaining hands-on experience in the dynamic field of technology-driven language solutions.

Please note that proficiency in English at a C1 level or equivalent is essential for this role.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Project Management Receive, manage, track, and deliver multilingual content & localization projects Contribute to AI and MT processes Analyze client requests and requirements, create briefs & allocate workload Meet with clients and teams regularly for training, review, and status updates Prioritize and schedule translation assignments, set up workflows, and manage processes Manage projects in accordance with strict QA Review original copy, translations, and transcreations for quality against brief Identify areas of improvement in processes and services Identify new business development opportunities Bring your skills, motivation, and curiosity to the table Quality Control Review original copy, translations, and transcreations for quality against brief Conduct quality control on generative texts to uphold linguistic excellence and accuracy Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure outputs align with established standards Terminology Management Maintain and align glossaries, term bases, and style guides to support consistent linguistic output AI/MT QA Perform quality assurance on AI/MT content to enhance overall translation quality Collaborate with the team to implement improvements based on feedback and evaluation Vendor Management Evaluate and select new vendors involved in language-related projects Build and maintain positive relationships with external vendors Collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless communication and project coordination MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency in English (C1 level or equivalent) to deal with international clients and colleagues Tech-savvy and tech curious 2+ years of experience in Translation/Localization Project Management 2+ years of experience managing international clients Experience in Copywriting, E-Commerce, Transcreation, Localization, Digital Marketing projects Experience in Machine Translation projects Experience in AI-generated text projects University Degree Excellent linguistic and numeracy skills Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills Customer service oriented Knowledge of CAT/AI tools and Business Management Systems Ability to multitask, set priorities, and coordinate complex projects Highly organized and detail-oriented Proactive decision-making and problem-solving skills Strong time management skills Personal growth and career-oriented NICE-TO-HAVE REQUIREMENTS: Proficient in a language other than English and Italian Overseas work or study experience Multicultural background, and at ease with international teams and clients Diversity and Inclusion Maka is an equal opportunity employer.
