Responsibilities As a Senior Solution Designer , you will be part of the Architecture & Design team in the Group Content Platforms department within the Content Technology & Innovation ( CT&I ) directorate and you will work as part of one or more delivery squads to ensure coherent design and development for the services and features in scope, in line with the Content Platforms strategy. Tasks Be responsible for the Detailed solution design and tech requirements for the services managed by the delivery squads with internal or TP engineering teams, leading the "what dimension" of the delivery and working side by side with the team analyst to translate the design in deliverable user stories in an Agile approach and in a day-by-day relationship Contribute to the Domain architecture and design within an international distributed team lead by a Lead Architect. Sky Content Platforms are providing the full Content supply chain for TV Contents including Rights, Linear and VOD Planning & Scheduling, Content Processing and Metadata enrichment capabilities as a mix of third parties and self-built components Design scalable, flexible, simple to extend and resilient event-driven and API-bases services defining the integration patterns and the business rules implementing solutions able to evolve and react to the new business needs or, better, being proactively an enabler for the business Collaborate with the Product Owner and the stakeholders to define the business and operational capabilities, processes and data-driven automations allowing us to efficiently deliver our new Group Content Platforms, an essential enabler for the current and future Sky needs, through a value stream approach Key Requirements Significant experience on Media/telco IT solution design including mission-critical 24/7 systems and integrations developments in complex/international environments with preferred experiences on Broadcasting domain like TV Programs, Metadata and Content processing solutions Knowledge of software engineering technologies, design methodologies, integration patterns for API first and web application technical design Experience with Cloud solutions and public providers such as AWS and GCP to implement large-scale solutions based on microservices and serverless architectures of distributed services. Proven skills on DB modelling and technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL DBs, Cloud native DBs) Welcome skills also on: media codecs, video, and audio packaging technologies, encryption and DRM systems and supply chain processes and orchestration Business processes analysis, Agile and DevOps methodologies (Scrum, SAFE, …) experience Attitude to problem solving and a work style driven by objectives, collaboration and accountability with a passion for technical excellence, business value and the customer satisfaction Good communications and active listening skills with very good level of English both spoken and written.
