Contract Administrator
SICIM is a Construction Company established in 1962 and offering all types of services related to the installation of pipelines and relevant ancillary facilities for the transmission and distribution of oil, gas, and water on an international basis. Sicim is looking for a Contract Administrator for our Branch in Iraq. The person will carry on the following activities: Reviewing contracts, verifying accuracy, consistency, and resolving discrepancies in line with company rules and guidelines. File Management by maintaining contract copies in proper folder structures (soft copies) / filing structures (hard copies) and maintaining registers with relevant details. Drafting contract agreements in line with project requirements, relevant laws, and regulations. Ensuring that all functions follow the contract conditions and regulations in terms of communications, document submissions, reporting, subcontracting, work executions, etc. , and advising other departments in case of deviations from the contract or specific requirements. Managing correspondences with clients/subcontractors by drafting and issuing letters in consultation with project managers and other departments, responding to client's or subcontractor's letters, and keeping registers. Attending meetings with clients/contractors/subcontractors and maintaining minutes of meetings. Management of change orders and variations as per the conditions of contracts. Dispute resolution in case of any issues arising. Closing of contracts to ensure that relevant certificates are received from clients or issued to subcontractors, and all claims/variations/financial dues are settled according to contract requirements. Preparing and maintaining detailed budget for projects. Analyzing costs incurred against the budgets and implementing control measures where required. Maintaining cash flow plans and monitoring actual status. Closing out budgets for projects when finished and preparing reports. COMPETENCIES Master's degree in Business Administration OR degree in Law/Accounting/Economics with experience in Construction Law OR Bachelor's in Engineering with 8-10 years of experience in the role of Contracts/Cost Control Engineer with an Engineering Consultancy/EPC Company. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English with good writing skills. Strong negotiation and mediation skills. Able to work productively independently and as part of a team. Excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
