We are creating a 130, 000 sqm state-of-the-art, fully automated warehouse that will handle logistics services for our client adidas and serve 19 countries across Eastern and Southern Europe.

Be part of this exciting journey in Kuehne+Nagel logistics by applying now!Your RoleThe Contract Logistics Operations Manager works within Contract Logistics, operating for adidas Campus South, our new fully automated warehouse located in Mantua.

This facility, with over 130, 000 square metres, will represent an unparalleled example of excellence and innovation in automated technology operations.

The manager will support the Site Manager with the planning, management, organization, and supervision of all operational activities related to their specific department.

They will operate to satisfy customers' needs and ensure the proper workflow of goods while organizing spaces, equipment, and managing medium to large size teams.

To lead people efficiently, they will act as a role model regarding operational activities, safety, and HR topics. Your ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the System Management team and Customer Service team to apply the warehouse operation's strategy to guarantee an efficient goods workflow and achieve business goals. Cascade all logistics service-planning information to Shift Leaders & Team Leaders and support them with the implementation of operational actions to pursue warehouse and business goals. Plan all logistics services related to specific departments, develop a space utilization plan to meet prescribed cost and service standards, and ensure safety and security of all managed workforce, equipment, and property. Follow the receipt, inspection, storage, delivery, handling of returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to ensure that customer requirements are met efficiently and in compliance with all applicable regulatory and quality standards. Establish, monitor, and pursue KPIs achievement related to assigned areas of management and productivity, empowering teams to deliver against their KPIs to reach warehouse and business goals. Make recommendations to the Site Manager to improve program operations. Develop procedures to ensure efficient operation and utilization of all operating equipment. Manage all operations activities related to specific departments to respect P&L guidance and avoid cost losses. Your Skills and Experiences2 – 5 years' experience in large scale (> 300 FTE) highly automated fulfillment operations, preferably in eCommerce/Fashion/Retail within multinational companies. Solid exposure to analytical and metric-oriented work contexts with a deep predisposition for people engagement and respect of safety rules. Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders in operational and fast-paced work environments. Expertise in managing small to medium size teams (20 to 50), focusing on people engagement and development. Experience with P&L and budget management related to medium to large size automated warehouses. Exposure to logistics and/or productive work environments where respect for safety rules is fundamental.
