Contract Manager
To assist the PM/PD in ensuring the effective and efficientadministration of the Contract and, if any, the consortium or joint ventureagreements. Key activities andresponsibilitiesTo transfer contractual documents andinformation to the Project Team as appropriate (for example, throughdedicated contract-induction sessions). To prepare in advance the "tools" to beused during the course of the Project, in particular: the diagram of theContract, the list of notices and communications under the Contract, the wordingof the standard notices. To identify the contractual provisionswhich must be transferred to vendors and convey such provisions to theProject Procurement Manager/Coordinator in order to finalize the SpecialPurchase Conditions (refer to PR-B26). To identify the contractual provisionswhich must be transferred to subcontractors and convey such provisions tothe Project Subcontracting Manager/Coordinator in order to finalize theProject Special Subcontracting Conditions (refer to PR-B27). To prepare the documents necessary toensure that confidentiality obligations towards the Client and the otherparties involved are fulfilled by Operating Company, subcontractors andvendors. To assist the PM/PD and the other membersof the Project Team in handling the contractually relevant matters. To draft the correspondence concerningcontractual matters. To keep record of the cases when clientand partners do not fulfil their contractual obligations, assess theconsequences thereof in relation to cost and time with the support of theProject Control Manager and inform the PM/PD in order to duly notify theinvolved party. To identify and prepare the change orderrequests and the claims with the support of the Project Control Manager, the other members of the Project Team and, if required, the ChangeOrder/Claim Specialist, and timely issue such requests to the Client alongwith the required documentation. To participate in the negotiation of thechange orders and claims. To keep record of the status of changeorders and claims. To identify, with the support of themembers of the Project Team, the delays and disruptions attributable toClient's or partners' responsibilities or to "force majeure" and dulynotify the same. To participate in the negotiation andfinalization of contract amendments, supported by the Contract Negotiatoras required. To inform promptly Legal Affairs andContracts when disputes with Clients and partners are likely to result inlitigation proceedings. To support Legal Affairs and Contracts in themanagement of litigation proceeding. To support Project Risk/OpportunityManagement in quantitative and qualitative evaluation of project risk duringthe executive phase. To support Group Treasury in management ofproject bank warranties.
Tosupport theProject Control Manager in the management of the invoices issued to the Clientsand/or Partners.
