job description

Finance attendee at all Contract handover meetings where studies are handed over from CCS to the relevant functional areas.

- Prepare summary documents for all executed contracts, change orders and MSAs, summarising all pertinent financial aspects of the contractual agreement (1 page executive summaries).

- Dissemination and education of this summary contract information to the relevant Accounts Receivable Administrator, Revenue and EU Finance management.

- Support the AR team on contract related issues and study finance reconciliations.

- Maintain excellent relations and close liaison with CCS & the Legal Department re contractual matters as they impact Finance.

- Ad-hoc analysis and reports as required by Finance management, internal and external clients.

- Global Rebates: calculate clients' volume rebate/discount for ICON & Affiliates, monitor all contractual agreements & communicate with BD & Senior Management.

- FX Adjustments: track contractual agreements with FX adjustment clauses, review studies requiring adjustments on a quarterly basis and prepare reports for Revenue / Treasury.

- Project set-up: monitor all new awards for AR EU/APAC team, set up projects in Oracle Financials and respond to internal project-related queries.

- Attention to detail and uncompromising attitude to accuracy.

- Self-motivated and takes ownership.

- Ability to read, understand and summarise key financial aspects of complex documents.

- Excellent relationship skills, enabling person to build and maintain good relationships with both internal and external clients.

- Experience of shared services and diverse multiple customer base environments.

- Experience of large ERP financial systems.

Specific Oracle Financials experience is desirable but not a pre requisite

- Advanced level Excel skills.

What you need

- A bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Juris Doctor (law) degree, or related experience is preferred

- SSU experience is desirable but not required.

- Experience in a clinical research environment with specific experience in study contracts review and budget negotiation or in related field such as where contract or legal document review is a primary part of you
