Controller We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to lead our client's financial operations and drive strategic initiatives.

This pivotal role oversees all aspects of accounting, with a strong emphasis on accounts payable management.

This role will lead a team of six direct reports, collaborate with external accounting partners, and ensure the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes, including job costing, financial close, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all accounting functions, with a focus on accounts payable (AP), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in vendor payments and reconciliation.

Supervise and mentor a team of six accounting and administrative professionals, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.

Oversee the full-cycle AP process, including invoice processing, PO management, and vendor relationships, while maintaining robust internal controls.

Collaborate with external accounting firms to ensure accurate reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance.

Apply GAAP knowledge and experience to manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes, ensuring detailed reconciliations and precise financial reporting.

Develop and implement effective job costing systems to monitor and evaluate project profitability.

Maintain strong vendor and subcontractor relationships, ensuring timely issuance and management of purchase orders.

Provide strategic financial insights to support business planning and decision-making.

Monitor and manage cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts to align with company goals.

Continuously enhance accounting systems, policies, and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications: 6+ years experience in F&A, solid knowledge of GAAP, superior people leadership skills, Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and/or equivalent experience.

Extensive experience in accounts payable management, including process optimization and team oversight.

Proven track record in similar role with strong leadership skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Expertise in financial close processes, job costing, and collaboration with external accounting firms.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
