The Controlling manager position, reporting to the Head of Finance, is accountable for leading and managing the Controlling Team (2 persons) in full coordination with accounting, HR & all business departments to be efficient in collecting and assessing valuable data.
She/he will be responsible for the controlling activities of cluster Italy&Iberica developing, improving, and implementing controlling environments for all and each business partners.
Core activities:
- Responsible for budget from the beginning (collecting and challenging ideas) to the end (consolidation, presentation support) in full respect of controlling manual & local management requirements
- Responsible for preparation of rolling forecasts
- Collects financial data to support in reports preparation and monthly meetings with HQ
- Builds an adequate reporting structure for internal and external stakeholders
- Analysis of financial data for the monthly/quarterly/annual reports
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Gives support in preparation of Annual budgeting and forecasting process according to the internal requirements.
- Review of all financial plans and comparison analysis to actual results with a view to identify, explain and correct variances as appropriate.
- Highly contributing to monthly closing and year end package with chief accountant
- Responsible for reliability and performance of controlling team
- Conducts yearly Dialogue and proposes adapted development actions
- Set objectives aligned with the company objectives, monitor, and evaluate them regularly
- Ensures efficient communication of information to the team & with business partners

About you
We are looking for a unique and amazing talent, who brings along the following:
- University degree/ Education, preferably in Accounting/Finance
- Minimum 5-6 years of professional experience in a similar role within an international setting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in SAP, Excel
- Big 4 and previous experience in retail industry experience would be a plus
- Team orientation, and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Innovative and creative approach whenever possible and can-do attitude
- People management skills
- IFRS and local GAAP knowledge
- English proficiency skills Is required
