Job Requirements
Roles and Responsibilities
Designing, Implementing and Commissioning of new control loops as per site requirements.
Mark V, Mark VI & Mark VIe Control software upgrading and modification.
Control software coding as per standards and contractual requirements. All software to be demonstrated and approved by technical leader.
Review of control philosophy, P&I diagram, instruments list, flow chart.
Review and report all device discrepancies between P&IDs, signal lists and other relevant inputs before software implementation.
Data link configuration.
Cimplicity screen configuration and testing.
Software Acceptance Test (SWAT).
Controls software Modifications for Power Generation Gas Turbine.
HMI Screens Modifications for Power Generation Projects.
TIL Implementations.
Review Customer requirements/Specifications and work with stakeholders/customers to meet/clarify specs.
Write, Test & develop requirements for application code and failure mode driven validation methodologies.
Provide Start Up, Remote Commissioning support and work with experts on issue resolution.
Work Experience
Requirements and Qualifications
Controls domain knowledge about process control, feedback controls, analog/digital, linear/non-linear control systems, system stability analysis using various methods like Bode plots, Nyquist plots etc.
Knowledge about Model Based / Model Predictive Control or other advanced control strategies is a plus.
Knowledge about mathematical modelling of first/second order systems.
Operational knowledge of Thermal / Gas power plants and various equipment, such as generators, motors, pumps etc.
Knowledge about Gas Turbine working principle.
Working knowledge of dynamic simulation packages such as MATLAB / Simulink.
Ladder logic programming knowledge.
Understanding of working principles of various instrumentations used in power plant.
Excellent communication interpersonal skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work in global, matrixed organization and make good, timely decisions based on data.
Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing to meet business objectives.
Self-starter who can accept broad-based assignments.
