Job Description As an
Instrumentation & Controls Engineer
you will work within a group of controls engineers.
We are looking for people that are excited about their work and are looking to grow within our organization.
Must Have: Custom Automation Experience.
Scratch PLC Programming experience HMI Development AutoCAD Electrical Design experience.
Job Responsibilities: Program and integrate Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) from platforms such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, and Wago.
Develop and review control system architecture, flow diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), control sequences, and design specifications.
Design, set up, and conduct system functionality tests on equipment both in the manufacturing facility and at customer sites.
Perform onsite startup, equipment validation, I/O checkout, troubleshooting, and calibration of instrumentation, including tuning of PID loops.
Analyze risks and hazards, conducting thorough risk assessments to ensure safety and compliance.
Develop wiring schematics, control panel layouts, and validate programming to confirm systems operate according to control sequences.
Create and manage project documentation such as responsibility matrices, instrument indexes, and bills of materials (BOMs).
Prepare wire pull schedules and detailed scope-of-work documents for contractors involved in bidding and construction phases.
