**Your Role**:
The Career and Internship Program (CIP) Coordinator is part of a team that sources internship host companies; curates and manages relationships with old and new collaborators; and places student interns appropriately at local companies and organizations. After placement, the Coordinator serves as an intermediary to resolve issues that may arise, coaching both sides as necessary beyond these difficulties. Likewise, the CIP Coordinator will assist in finding companies interested in collaborating with our Business Consulting course.
The CIP Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving the success of the Career & Internship Program (CIP) locally and globally. This position is ideal for an ambitious, business-oriented junior professional with a passion for sales and a drive to contribute to a globally connected company. The CIP Coordinator will focus on implementing improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency while supporting business development and client engagement strategies.
**What You'll Do**:
- Internship Placements, Consultancy Collaborations_
- Identify, source and cultivate a growing list of companies and organizations to host CEA CAPA students as interns, or likewise, groups of students led through a consultancy project for the Business Consultancy program.
- Work closely with Career Development and Internship Specialist(s) to be sure incoming interns are ready for their experience abroad and will be suitably placed.
- Pair students and companies appropriately, considering the opportunities that internship hosts can offer, as well as our students' interests and professional goals.
- Formulate position descriptions for students once their placement has been secured, and fulfill all necessary paperwork internal to CEA CAPA to confirm the student's placement.
- Maintain constant communication with CIP Manager to ensure local bureaucratic paperwork (_convenzioni_, _progetti_, CF attainment, registration) is completed correctly and in time for student internship placements.
- Inform GIC professor(s) of students' placements and _progetti_ to allow for comprehensive preparation for the Global Internship Course.
- Partner with CIP Manager and identified Business Consultancy professor(s) to identify and secure best-fit companies for their course(s) on a semesterly basis.
- Manage the completion of mandatory documents required by CIP Global for onsite student monitoring, including onboarding forms, O&R forms, mid-supervisor check-ins, mock interviews, skill surveys, and monthly timesheets. Maintain up-to-date monitoring and report any issues to the CIP Manager.
- Encourage students to work through difficulties in the workplace on their own, to reinforce learning experiences that will help them grow professionally.
- When necessary, mediate between student and host to ensure mutual understanding and positive outcomes.
- CIP Development_
- Keep abreast of local CIP competition and, when appropriate, suggest improvements for CEA CAPA processes, requirements or features.
- Remain constantly apprised of legal requirements of foreign student interns in Italy and ensure CEA CAPA's Florence internship program works within these boundaries.
- Work closely with CIP Manager, CEA CAPA CIP leadership and the Florence Academic Affairs team to identify, update, and make known Florence internship points of distinction.
- Seek and attend events, consider memberships, as well as other opportunities that may open doors to new and more internship host connections.
- Assist in the curation of events aimed to thank, engage, and attract old and new internship or Business Consultancy hosts.
- Attend and contribute regularly to Global CIP calls to ensure Florence standards are in line with or exceed CEA CAPA's CIP goals.
- Program Support_
- Ensure that efforts to successfully perform above duties serve doubly to consistently elevate CEA CAPA's reputation within the local community.
- With CIP colleagues (local and non), create a Re-entry Workshop for CIP and non-CIP semester students to teach them ways to present their experience abroad and acquired skills to potential employers.
