Incumbent is responsible for coordinating IT projects, ensuring the successful execution of IT projects. The IT PM (Coordinatore Informatico) plays a crucial role in stakeholder communication, process improvement, and strategic planning. Ensures alignment of project goals with strategic plans, monitors the progress of multiple IT projects to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met, and facilitates regular project meetings to review status, address issues, and update stakeholders. The IT PM provides guidance, and support to IT project managers and IT facility managers. Acts as a liaison between the team and supervisor or upper management, communicating technical project status, challenges, and outcomes, and managing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are understood and met. Incumbent assists in the preparation and management of budgets related to IT projects and facilities, monitors expenditures, and ensures projects stay within financial constraints. Provides technical guidance to team members, leveraging deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and project management methodologies, and staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices are also crucial. Participates in project reviews, addresses immediate technical concerns, discusses project milestones, resource allocation, and any escalations. Develops project performance metrics and monitors to track project success and creates regular reports and presentations for upper management on project status, resource utilization. He/she is responsible for selecting and applying appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques, providing advice and assisting in identifying viable solutions. Monitors and reports on the status and progress of projects, checking on progress, and reviews completed projects to ensure work priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality have been met. The IT Project Manager maintains program and technical reference materials, project files, and relevant background documents, makes available policies, procedures, and written instructions from the supervisor, and maintains current knowledge to answer team members' technical questions on procedures, policies, and directives. Prepares technical reports and maintains records of work accomplishments and technical information as required, coordinating the preparation, presentation, and communication of work-related information to the supervisor, and represents the team in dealings with the supervisor or manager to obtain resources and secure needed information or decisions on major work problems and issues, are essential tasks. Provides support to NETCOM Army Information Technology (AIT), through expert technical oversight to the IT platforms and systems selected and utilized in the design and implementation of Integrated Infrastructure backbones which simultaneously support Voice, Data, and Video telecommunication strategies for NETCOM Army Information Technology activities for the USAREUR AF and SETAF AF areas of responsibility. Incumbent reviews and monitors development plans for the installation, modification, rehabilitation, and removal of complex state-of-the-art IT systems and programs. Applies specialized IT methods and analytical techniques to evaluate operations and performance characteristics of IT equipment, data voice transmission media, and the relationships of component parts of IT systems. Identifies IT systems and networks requirements to meet command objectives. Analyzes existing complex systems and operations for improved effectiveness, responsiveness, and economic benefits. Develops cost estimates for communications services supporting major programs directed by higher headquarters. Supports the organizations under 509th Area of Responsibility and detached Army teams over NATO sites and Air Force locations with networked distribution systems expansions, projects of classified and unclassified networks, new networked distribution systems, PDS, new audio-video, and conferencing systems. Develops Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings for proposed solutions. Advises on the best contractual way to be used. Reviews and derives the list of approved certified contractors that could be used for the projects. Serves as a technical interface between government and contractors and performs Quality Assurance and Quality Control on the project when done. Acts as a Technical representative during the project design and development. Incumbent plans and executes electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, environmental maintenance, and telecommunications maintenance for 509th Server Facilities, Defense Information Systems Agency local nodes, and local telecommunications distribution nodes. Renovates and updates Army facilities telecommunications rooms in conjunction with 2nd Signal Brigade G4 engineering section. Plans authorized service interruptions and performs Quality Assurance and Quality Control of the projects. Maintains drawing records through appropriate CAD software by performing upgrades of new constructions, construction demolitions, new underground lines, and removal or upgrades of telecommunication utility lines. NOTE: Tour of duty is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 08. 00 to 17. 00, including a 1-hour uncompensated lunch break. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet the qualification requirements in the 'Qualification Standards' published by U. S Office of Personnel Management, as summarized below. Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail; Customer Service; Oral Communication; Problem Solving. In addition to the aforementioned experience, applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of Specialized Experience equivalent to at least the Q-Q2 grade level. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT.
