Copywriter
Established in 1981 with a single store in the Northwest of England, the JD Group is a leading omni-channel retailer of Sports Fashion, Outdoors and Gyms with over 60, 000 colleagues and over 3, 400 stores across several retail fascias in over 30 markets around the world. JD Italy counts around 80 stores with over 2, 500 employees. Reporting to: Lead CopywriterKey Objective: The role of a copywriter is to create engaging copy across all touch points, adopting the brand tone of voice in all written communication.
They will need to be competent with a range of systems and Microsoft Office to complete their daily workload, while being creative in their approach to all tasks. Responsibilities:Produce product descriptions for all categories, ensuring product goes live on site punctually and with accurate copy. Translate from English when required – including short (lock-up, in app message, subject lines, banners, social media captions, paid media messages) and long formats (audio/video scripts, blog posts, T&Cs, Group projects…). Create engaging, SEO-friendly blog posts to support marketing, product and sport messages. Format blogs in Wordpress using basic HTML. Introductory SEO skills. Understanding and adopting the JD tone of voice in all copy. Work closely with the rest of the Copy Team to align and share ideas, as well as across other Multi-Channel functions including Digital Marketing, Content, Trade and CRM.
