Corporate Chief Engineer / Direttore Tecnico
For one of the major Italian hotel chains, we are looking for a CORPORATE DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING.
Reporting directly to the Company's top management (Co-CEO), you will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects from start to finish.
Your duties will include communicating company goals to the team, calculating costs and timelines, approving projects and budgets.
You will also need to delegate tasks, supervise equipment training and installation, conduct quality checks, and provide effective leadership to achieve and exceed set objectives.
You will be responsible for coordinating 4 key areas: Technical & Maintenance Construction & Safety Architecture Interior Design Main responsibilities: Clearly communicate the company's strategic and operational objectives to all professionals in your team, ensuring alignment and understanding of their roles in achieving these goals.
Closely monitor every project phase from initial planning to final implementation, ensuring all activities are completed on time and within budget, while meeting quality standards.
Provide detailed cost estimates, materials needed, labor, and time required for each project, using analysis tools and established methodologies to ensure forecast accuracy.
Evaluate and approve project proposals and budgets, ensuring they are realistic and in line with the company's financial and strategic goals.
Assign specific tasks to engineering teams based on each member's skills and experience, ensuring an effective workload distribution and optimal resource utilization.
Coordinate and oversee technical staff training and equipment installation to ensure team readiness and safe installations.
Conduct regular quality checks on all systems and products, identifying and correcting any defects or inefficiencies to ensure outputs meet company and regulatory standards.
Lead the team with competence and enthusiasm, maintaining high motivation and engagement, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment, and supporting team members' professional development.
Collect, analyze, and interpret relevant data to monitor project progress, preparing detailed and understandable reports for management and other stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
Ensure all team activities comply with current regulations and company policies, keeping safety protocols and operating procedures up to date.
Promote innovation and continuous improvement of technical and operational processes, identifying optimization opportunities and implementing innovative solutions to increase efficiency and quality.
Work closely with other business functions to ensure technical projects align with company's commercial and strategic needs.
Required qualifications: Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Previous experience in managing engineering projects.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Cost calculation and budget management competence.
Proactivity and ability to motivate the team to achieve outstanding results.
