Key job responsibilities

Amazon's Consumer business is seeking a talented Corporate Counsel to support our rapidly growing e-commerce business.

You will be primarily responsible for managing and supervising litigation in Italy, providing legal advice on a wide range of topics.

You will manage and advise on commercial litigation disputes, various regulatory matters and proceedings, including those involving complex legal and business issues.

You also be expected to provide sound and pragmatic advice to business clients on strategic litigation in Italy, direct the strategy including selecting and collaborating with outside counsel and develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative and business-centric ways.

- Working experience (as an external advisor or as in-house counsel) for a retail company or e-commerce company is a plus.

- Project management experience is a plus

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to act as a business partner to senior management.

- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.

- Excellent organizational skills, including ability to manage multiple litigation at once, follow through, and meet deadlines.

- Team player who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with attorneys and business clients at all levels throughout the organization.

- Good degree of independence, initiative and decisiveness but also desire to be challenged and think outside the box.

- The ability to function as part of a European and global legal team and autonomously when required.
