About the Job: About the Area: The Corporate Credit Risk unit at BBVA Milano is an integral part of the Global Risk Management – EMEA team. Its main function is to deliver best-in-class credit analysis of corporate clients, monitoring the local portfolio and ensuring the safety and soundness of wholesale lending through risk policy management. About the Role: As a Corporate Credit Risk Associate, you will be responsible for: Assessing the credit and financial strength of BBVA's clients by performing fundamental credit analysis of counterparties, using both quantitative and qualitative factors. Preparation, submission for approval and presentation at relevant Credit Committees of Financial Programs through relevant discretion processes. Approving utilization of sanctioned limits within discretion. Ensuring the establishment and effectiveness of credit policies and risk limits as well as compliance with risk appetite. Supporting and providing guidance to other units within BBVA. What Are We Looking For? Previous Experience and Technical Knowledge: BA/BSc in Finance, Business Management, or any other related subject. Demonstrable financial services experience of at least 4 years, including credit experience in Banking, Consulting, Credit Risk Management, or equivalent. Strong knowledge of Credit Processes. Strong analytical skills, including understanding of key financial components (liquidity position, leverage profile, etc. ) and the ability to form independent opinions on credit, recognizing emerging risks. Solid Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills. Understanding of banking products and sustainability issues. Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English. Italian is highly valuable. Soft Skills: Strong inter-personal and verbal communication skills. Should be at ease in communicating with internal and external stakeholders within risk management and other divisions. Strong organization and time management skills. Able to work under time pressure. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proactive, ethical, client-oriented, out-of-the-box thinker.
