Corporate Intelligence Research Analyst
The Corporate Intelligence team is an expanding part of KPMG.
The team helps clients address integrity and regulatory risks stemming from third-party relationships in a variety of contexts, from compliance and KYC to mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
The team, which works globally through the KPMG member firm network, is made up of specialists with a range of regional and language expertise**:
We are seeking research analysts to join the team in our Milan office.
As part of the Corporate Intelligence team, you will be involved in projects in areas such as:
- Integrity due diligence and reputational research of third parties, focused on identifying reputational and regulatory risks, their organisational structure and providing analytical and succinct summaries of their relevance to our clients;
- Asset tracing and source of wealth research aimed at identifying assets and/or verifying the career trajectory/lifestyle of high net worth individuals in the context of asset recovery or AML reviews; and
- Other new third-party risk management solutions, including offerings incorporating broader Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) considerations.
**_Responsibilities _
- The research, retrieval and analysis of public record information are the starting point for the majority of corporate intelligence assignments.
_The main responsibilities for Research Analysts will include:_
- _Conducting desktop-based research using a variety of specialist database resources, covering a wide range of corporate, media, credit and regulatory data across many jurisdictions;_
- _Conducting iterative research using a variety of other online and offline public record sources, especially commercial registries and corporate databases in a variety of countries and languages;_
- _Combining the above skills to deliver time-critical and relevant reports to clients;_
- _Assisting in the preparation of proposals to clients and supporting the development of research, thought leadership and other marketing efforts. _
**_Required Experience and Skills _
- _Academic qualifications, ideally with a background in international relations, politics, law, economics and/or modern languages;_
- _Excellent English and Italian communication skills, both written and oral; _
- _Fluency in at least one additional foreign language, with the ability to conduct research and translate accurately_; _
- _Ability to work under pressure and meet exacting deadlines;_
- _Ability to operate in a discreet and confidential manner; _
- _Preferably, some work experience, which might be market or investigative research, risk analysis, due diligence, etc. _
- _Drive and commitment to deliver a high-quality service.
