**Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 **is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2, 300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22, 000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Position
The Village Deputy Manager will assist the Village Manager in planning, organizing, and delivering seamless operations and services across the Olympic and Paralympic Villages, ensuring a safe, efficient, and athlete-centered environment for all stakeholders.
The Village Deputy Manager will be involved in the planning phase to finalize the village operation plan that should be complete with all the details provided by the other FAs that will operate inside the village.
This person will be the point of contact for all the requests that come from the rest of the areas to access the site/village under construction - managing the permission, the needs, the flows.
The Village Deputy Manager will be the one that manages the relationship with the local entities and the with the developer due to aligned always with them.
During games time, for the entire exclusive use of the site of the village he/she will stay all day long in the village with the general manager and check that all the operational phases will be completed (bump in, fit out, security sweep, first arrivals, movements, flows, departures, ceremony operations).
He/She will be involved in:

Village Operations Management
- Support the implementation of operational plans for all services and functional areas (e. g. , villages accommodation services, allotment, food & beverage, transport, security, medical services, doping control, technology, NOC/NPC services, and logistics).
- Monitor adherence to timelines, quality standards, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures, during the difference phases of planning, readiness and operations.
- During Games time, oversee daily operations and resolve operational issues promptly in the absence of the Village Manager.
**2.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a key liaison with National Olympic Committees (NOCs), National Paralympic Committees (NPCs), and other stakeholders to address their needs effectively.
- Facilitate regular communication and briefings to ensure alignment between functional areas and stakeholders.
**3.
Team Leadership and Coordination
- Supervise village operational teams (and all functional areas inside the Village), ensuring they are adequately trained and well-prepared.
- Foster collaboration among internal teams, contractors, and external service providers to maintain smooth operations.
**4.
Resource Planning and Management
- Assist in managing budgets, resources, and schedules for the village, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure all operational supplies are available and properly managed.
**5.
Contingency Planning and Issue Resolution
- Contribute to the development of risk assessments and contingency plans for unforeseen operational challenges.
- Act as the point of escalation for complex issues and emergencies, ensuring swift resolution while maintaining service quality.
**6.
Communications and Publications
- Support the villages team to develop materials of communications with different stakeholders providing and define plan of the services, operational plans, policies and procedure during pre-games, games-time and post-games (e. g. , CdM Guide, IOC/IPC meetings and reviews, NOC/NPC policies, internal policies and procedures).
**7.
Event-Time Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of day-to-day operations during Games time to maintain a high standard of service delivery.
- Conduct walkthroughs to monitor and ensure a positive experience for athletes, officials, and guests.
