Responsibilities: Actively participate in the tender and bid process, from initial documentation through to analysis and reporting. Manage the change management process—identifying, analysing, approving, and implementing changes that affect project costs. Analyse tenders and bids to ensure value for money for the client. Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including handling any claims to ensure the client receives the best value from works undertaken. Create estimates and cost plans for key developments. Oversee project expenditure by preparing valuations and cost reports and clearly communicating variations to the team. Support agile project management and informed decision-making through excellent cost documentation and timely communication. Assist in the resolution of construction disputes and loss and expense claims with transparency. Foster high performance and professional growth within the team through strong mentorship and leadership. Requirements: Have experience as a Cost Consultant/manager from a Pharmaceutical/Life Science background. Have expertise in pre-contract cost management, including budget control, cost planning, and preparing and initiating change forms for discussion with project stakeholders. Have knowledge of alternative construction materials and techniques. Are chartered or working towards chartership (support is available). Hold a degree or possess equivalent experience in a project management or construction-related discipline. Are an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
