Arup is currently seeking a **Cost Controller** to join our Programme and Project Management Team within Arup Italia.
Role:
- Support the client in defining the project budget, gaining their trust and ensure their needs are met;
- Identify market prices for the equipment and the activities designed by the design teams;
- Support the Project Management team in planning and construction management activities;
- Coordinate tasks, ensuring work quality is maintained at required standard;
- Effectively manage the time, scope, cost, quality and performance of projects;
- Working on site and off site supporting the project manager and the team in planning, procurement and construction management activities;
- Develop business plans, focusing on investments and costs forecasts;
- Work collaboratively within a mutually supportive team environment with a focus on team success;
- Check developing design against the project budget
- Prepare cost plans/reports, estimates and cash flow projection
- Prepare bill of quantities and tender pricing documents
- Estimate the costs of variation
- Support the verification of interim certificates
- Assist with the valuation of claims
**Requirements**:
- Knowledge and experience in the field of project management and related areas across a range of projects;
- Fluency in both Italian and English language;
- Attention to detail and deadline oriented;
- Keen to undertake project analysis and report on results;
- Able to quickly develop and maintain successful client and team relationships;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is essential;
- Planning and organisational skills;
- Communications skills (including formal and informal presentations, written communications and reports);
- Able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness;
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and AutoCAD
