Cost Controller
Main Activities and Responsibilities: 1.
Cost Control and Analysis: Monitor and analyze the club's operational costs, including food and beverage, utilities, labor, and other expenses.
Regularly review stock and inventory management via Syrve, ensuring accuracy and minimizing waste.
Generate and analyze profitability reports, identifying cost-saving opportunities and advising on corrective actions.
Assist in setting budgets for various departments and monitor adherence to them.
Conduct variance analysis, comparing actual costs against budgets and forecasts, identifying discrepancies, and investigating the causes.
2.
Syrve System Administrator: Utilize the Syrve platform to monitor stock levels, ensure accurate supplier invoicing, and oversee cost allocations.
Ensure all data in Syrve is up-to-date and regularly reviewed for accuracy.
Upload menus.
Update suppliers prices.
Stock-takes in the restaurants.
Consumables.
Provide training and support to relevant staff on the Syrve system to enhance operational efficiency.
3.
Financial Reporting and Accounting: Prepare regular financial reports, including cost breakdowns and profitability analysis, for the Financial Controller and senior management.
Support the monthly and yearly financial closing process, ensuring that all cost entries are correctly recorded and accounted for.
Assist with the preparation of tax filings and financial audits by maintaining precise and detailed records of costs.

Supplier and Vendor Relations: Oversee purchase orders, review vendor invoices, and reconcile statements to ensure accurate pricing and terms.
Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best pricing and terms without compromising quality.
5.
Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the club's assets, particularly with regard to stock and inventory.
6.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with department heads to understand cost structures and provide insights for operational improvements.
Maintain clear communication with external vendors and stakeholders to manage financial matters effectively.
Manage other activities relating to or resulting from what is indicated in the previous points.
Key Competencies: Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a cost control or accounting role, ideally within the hospitality, restaurant, or luxury service sectors.
Experience working with Syrve or similar restaurant management software is highly desirable.
Previous experience in a high-end or exclusive club environment is a plus.
General Knowledge and Technical Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles, cost control methodologies, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced skills in Excel (e. g. , pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
Knowledge of Syrve or similar cloud-based restaurant management systems.
Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis techniques.
Understanding of tax compliance and regulatory requirements in the hospitality sector.
Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
Personal and Interpersonal Skills: Attention to Detail: Ability to spot discrepancies and ensure accuracy in cost tracking and reporting.
Analytical Thinking: Capacity to interpret financial data and offer strategic insights to improve profitability.
