Country Manager, Italy
About Our Client: Our client is a leading global renewable energy company, listed on multiple major stock exchanges and operating across four continents. As they continue their rapid expansion in Italy, they seek senior leaders to drive and shape their growth. Role Overview: The Country Manager for Italy will be focused on acquiring, developing and managing utility scale BESS, PV and Hybrid projects for the Italian expansion of the organisation. You will be broadly responsible for: Identifying prospective utility scale BESS, PV and Hybrid projects, electric transmission access, and site characteristics Managing the initial feasibility studies (TDD/opportunity/constraints) and the proposal screening, compliance with the budget, and the authorization process timeframe Creating and managing project development budgets and estimates Establish and manage relationships with stakeholders, including elected officials, regulators, utilities, RTOs, and community leaders, to support project development Negotiating Developer's and engineering Contracts and co -development project. Working with internal teams, such as Legal, Engineering, Project Finance and EPC Supporting the preparation and execution of deeds (LOI, PSPA, SPA) Supporting project permitting applications and procedures (EIA/BP/ATR/GCA/Discretional notices, etc. ), submittal, and associated communications to obtain final permits and approvals for project development. Managing state, and regional permitting of solar facilities, especially for agrivoltaics project, and suggest solutions to reduce impacts of the projects Participating in meetings with municipality, county, state and/or local regulators to define regulatory requirements and schedules Supporting the financial analysis and modelling of the project Providing reports to management by producing regular and frequent pipeline updates, project status updates, and other reporting documents What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Business, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Extensive years of progressively responsible project development & management experience in the renewable energy industry or similar. Pro-active, hands-on and driven with effective communication skills. Previous experience in a multi-cultural environment preferred. English fluency required.
