Cs Software & Electrical Designer - Packaging
The CS Software & Electrical Designer - Packaging will be part of the Packaging Machine Process Excellence & Customer Requests team and the role will manage the quotation and software and hardware development of customer requests.
Key responsibilities:Analyze customer requestsCustomize existing software and develop new solutions on Siemens Simotion PLCsPerform internal tests for the automation part of the machines, also managing non-standard softwareUsing Ladder, Motion Control Chart, and Structured programming languageCreate software architecture, defining how different parts of the system will interact with each otherDevelop the machinery upgrade to be fulfilledManage any issues during assembly and testingPeriodic alignment on standardization developmentsConduct feasibility studies and associated costingInterface with Production, Quality, and Purchasing for the proper process of realization of sold upgradesAdapt the equipment to CE and UL regulationsManage electrical bills of materials, electrical diagrams, and documentation archive also to foreign subsidiariesTake part in technical meetings with customers/partners to define customizations and exchange information on existing softwareCommissioning of systems and handle system issues and specifics at customers' siteProvide technical telephone support to field technicians and technical support managerTo succeed in this role you should have:Degree in Automation, Electronic Engineering or equivalentProven experience of at least 7 yearsProven experience with Siemens (PLC and HMI) programmingExperience with Ladder, Motion Control Chart, and Structured programming languageAbility to read wiring diagramsFluent spoken and written English and Italian; a third language is a plusOpen to travelExcellent communication and strong interpersonal skillsProblem-solving skillsGoal-oriented and customer-focusedAble to work under pressureWhat we offer:Work in a global organization with international customers and colleagues, dynamic and modern work environmentBe part of an organization committed to innovation and excellenceOnboarding planInternal canteen free of chargeIf you are interested in becoming part of the Valmet team in Lucca, please send your application as soon as possible but no later than November 9 - we are eagerly waiting for your application!
