Overview
The CSR and Human Rights Specialist will be the key support for the Head of Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Rights with delivering our ambitious and innovative human rights strategy, in the light of many exciting developments within our industry.
The CSR and Human Rights team is based in Italy, where all of our operations teams and most of our suppliers are based and will work closely with the production.
The CSR and Human Rights Specialist will require work collaboratively across the business and with external partners to ensure that our ethical standards are upheld, policies implemented and targets achieved.
Your Mission- Coordinate the global supply chain monitoring programme including new supplier onboarding and on site visits when necessary at factories in Italy. - Develop remediation plans and provide support to suppliers, including training and capacity building activities targeting root causes of common supply chain risks and issues. - Manage CSR and supply chain data and databases: collect suppliers' information and ensure our systems are accurate at all times. - Support the Head of CSR and Human Rights with implementing the Human Rights strategy and keeping it relevant, through carrying out research, analysis and providing insights to stay in touch with industry trends and developments. - Support with development and implementation of global CSR and Human Rights projects, including finding suitable partners, onboarding factories and providing them with practical support. - Support with mandatory and voluntary human rights reporting and communicating the effectiveness of our CSR and Human Rights initiatives to various stakeholders.
Your Talent:
- At least 3 years' experience from a similar role preferably in the high-end fashion and têxtile industry. - Experience with carrying out social and labour audits and assessments and/or knowledge of fashion supply chains structure and challenges-
- Strong technical understanding of current key supply chain-related human rights topics such as modern slavery and forced labour, migrant workers, living wages, worker voice, etc and working conditions in international supply chains- Understanding of business operations, luxury fashion and supply chains with ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment and be resilient to change. - A people person - able to develop and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders, from senior management to vulnerable workers in factories and able to have difficult conversations while thinking on one's feet. - A self-starter with strong communication and presentation skills, passionate about creating meaningful change.
Systems and Essentials- Competent IT skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint- Available to travel nationally and internationally (20%)- Fluent in Italian and English.
Any additional languages would be an asset. - Driving license- SA8000 certificate is a plus- Location: TBD
